Black Versace dress of Elizabeth Hurley

Elizabeth Hurley wore a black Versace dress, often referred to as "That Dress", when she accompanied Hugh Grant to the premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral in 1994. The dress was held together by several oversized gold safety pins. The dress is perhaps Versace's best-known creation, and is considered by some to be largely responsible for launching Hurley onto the global media stage.
Hurley said of the dress, "That dress was a favour from Versace because I couldn't afford to buy one. His [Grant's] people told me they didn't have any evening wear, but there was one item left in their press office. So I tried it on and that was it."However, some viewed the dress as a notorious one which was too brash, overtly sexually charged and revealing. Hurley said in response to comments about the revealing nature of the dress, "Unlike many other designers, Versace designs clothes to celebrate the female form rather than eliminate it."

Indian City is Ranked 2nd on a Global List of Places to be Seen in 2015

Hyderabad is the second best place in the world that one should see in 2015, according to an international travel publication.

The Presidio of San Francisco in the US ranked first on the "Best of the World - 20 Places You Should See in 2015" list, published in the annual guide of 'Traveler' magazine of National Geographic.

"Stories of Hyderabad's poetic past weave amid strings of programming code in this South Eastern India city that was home to one of the richest men in the world, Mir Osman Ali Khan, the last ruling nizam of Hyderabad," the periodical said.

It goes on to talk about how Hyderabad has now become a seedbed for many global IT brands, the opulent Taj Falaknuma Palace, Irani cafes, fifth generation pearl merchants and other attractions.

Windows 10 Consumer Preview to Be Unveiled at January Event: Report

Microsoft is reportedly all set to detail the consumer features of Windows 10 at an event in late-January, a date that is in-line with the firm's earlier announcement to release a consumer preview of the new multi-device OS in early 2015.Sources close to the Redmond giant's plans are claimed to have told The Verge the late-January press event will be comprehensive, and showcase several new features, such as a new touch interface called Continuum, ahead of the release of the Windows 10 consumer preview. The press event will reportedly be announced before the end of the year.
The Redmond giant when first announcing Windows 10 in late-September, said it had decided skip the name Windows 9 to emphasise the jump the new operating system will make in terms of catering to mobile devices and Internet services. Microsoft's Joe Belfiore had then added that Windows 10 will offer "the familiarity of Windows 7 with some of the benefits that exist in Windows 8" to help business users make the transition.

The report adds that Microsoft discuss its plans for just how Windows 10 will work on smartphones, tablets, and the Xbox One consoles (in this case, specifically dashboard updates).
To refresh, Microsoft's Windows 10 operating system will finally bring the unified 'Threshold' ecosystem that's been promised for a while, with a single iteration capable of working across multiple form factors and device types, from desktop, laptops and tablets to smartphones and even the company's gaming console.

Triumph Tiger 800 Review

Though still relatively young in India, the global resurgence of Triumph has been an interesting story to track. With its portfolio looking solid, including the one in India, here is its next big thing - the upgraded Tiger 800 series bikes. The outgoing models, the Tiger 800 XC and the Tiger Explorer XC, will be replaced by updated variants. Triumph's bestseller - the Tiger 800 range - was recently launched at the EICMA show in Milan, and we got a chance to ride two out of the four new exciting additions i.e. the fully-loaded Tiger 800 XRx and the XCx.

The tourer, XRx, looks fairly dynamic though the styling changes are minimal except the new finishes to the engine and the frame. The instrument panel doesn't look too cluttered despite the fact that bike comes packed with features, including an advanced trip computer, 3 configurable rider modes, auto-cancel turn signals, cruise control, hand guards, an adjustable windscreen, and two 12-volt power sockets.

The trip computers on the X variants display additional information like journey time, average speed, mileage, range to empty and instantaneous fuel consumption. The quality of the switches is impressive but the buttons are not exactly within reach when riding. Also the new gadgetery on-board can be quite intimidating at first, and takes some time to get used to. The subtle changes to the design also add functionality; for example, the fuel tank styling ducts to draw hot air from the engine away from the legs. The radiator area is a bit more wider to streamline more air to cool the engine.

The Tiger 800 XRx is more focused on riding with quite a bit of adventure biking character thrown in, but one of the major improvements is the engine refinement and efficiency. It is quieter, quicker and very responsive, which is coupled with very precise gear shifts. Triumph has also managed to boost efficiency on the Tiger by 17 per cent, so you get over 430Kms to ride, once you fill up the 19-litre tank. That said, the Triumph Tiger is a big and tall bike, and shorter riders may struggle a bit. However, you can adjust the seat to the riding position you prefer by about 20 mm. Once on the saddle, it's nice and easy riding stance and perfect for long rides.
Also what's really new and exciting is the availability of traction control and switchable ABS on all four models
The four throttle maps include Rain, Road, Sport, and Off-Road. The Rain map reduces the throttle response to suit wet and slippery situations, the Road setting is extremely linear and smooth for regular riding, and Sport mapping offers a sharper and quicker response with less of an actual throttle twist required. The Off-Road setting provides the optimal throttle response to face dirt tracks and unpaved terrains. These modes can be changed even when riding by pressing a button on the instrument panel followed by the release of the throttle and pull of the clutch lever.

Taylor Swift: Humiliation Got me Hits

Tayor Swift believes she wouldn't have won as many awards or sold out as many gigs, had she not written about her personal heartbreaks

Singer Taylor Swift says her music would be "more beige" if she hadn't suffered "humiliation, embarrassment or devastation" in her life.

The 24-year-old, who is known for writing songs about her famous link-ups, which include Harry Styles, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal and Joe Jonas, believes she wouldn't have won as many awards or sold out as many gigs, had she not written about her personal heartbreaks, reports contactmusic.com.

"The songs I've written about my moments of humiliation, embarrassment or devastation have gotten me the greatest sense of clarity," ASOS magazine quoted Taylor as saying.

"If my life had been turbulence free, no bumps in the road at all, maybe my music would be more beige, maybe the stadiums wouldn't be so full and the mantle would be a little more empty," she added.

The Love Story hitmaker has won seven Grammys, 15 American Music Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, 11 Country Music Association Awards and seven Academy of Country Music Awards. She admits she doesn't ever trust anyone who claims they haven't regretted anything in life.

"I can't stand having regrets, but you're supposed to have them. Anybody who tells you they went through life without regret or error isn't telling you the truth and they shouldn't be trusted," Taylor said.

Phillip Hughes' Death: Cricket Closes to Support Sean Abbott

Former Test fast bowler Jason Gillespie told Australia's Fox Sports on Friday the 22-year-old Abbott was "absolutely shaken and broken at the moment" as he dealt with the tragic accident which ended Hughes' life. His fateful "bouncer" was the kind of short-pitch delivery that gets bowled dozens of times in every senior match, usually without any problems.
Abbott visited the Sydney hospital where Hughes died on Thursday and was comforted by Australia captain Michael Clarke and Hughes' sister, Megan.
Cricket Australia on Friday pledged continuing support for Abbott as cricketers around the world offered sympathy and encouragement for the young paceman. (Waqar Fears for Abbott's Future)
"I had a chat to him last night and I was incredibly impressed by the way he was holding himself and his maturity," Cricket Australia chief executive James Sutherland said on Friday. "But the point is this not a moment-in-time thing. This is a grieving process that will affect people in different ways. What we will do and the relevant experts will do is provide Sean with the support he needs."

"He has got a lot of support around him from his teammates and also the counseling services," ACA chief executive Alistair Nicholson said. "He's someone who we're monitoring closely and we know he's got a lot of support around him." (Hughes Joins Ill-Fated Club of Cricketers)

"Phillip's sister, Megan, also came and spent significant time with Sean," Brukner said. "Obviously what Sean has gone through is an incredibly traumatic experience, as it has been for everyone present on the field that day."
Former Australia fast bowler Stuart Clark took time to speak to Abbott.
"It will be the hardest for him when it's quiet and there's nothing happening," Clarke told Australia's Sky Sports Radio. "When he's sitting at home at night before he goes to bed. That's, I think, when the thoughts will start recurring in his mind." (Clarke Breaks Down, Australia United in Grief | Pics)
"You worry that this could jeopardize Sean Abbott and his cricket career and we don't want that."
Former Australia captain Mark Taylor said Abbott should bear no responsibility for Hughes' death but would likely struggle with a sense of guilt.

Alan Mullally, who seriously injured a batsman during a club match in Perth, said he had sleepless nights for months after.
"I would wake up crying," Mullally told The West Australian newspaper. "I was devastated at first because I didn't know if he was going to live and then I was devastated because I did know that I had ended his career and all his cricket hopes and dreams." (Sri Lanka to Pay Silent Tribute)

"I suppose now I'm as qualified as anybody to know what this young fellow Abbott is feeling today and it just numbed me," he said. "You cannot describe it, and it's worse for the lad."

All-New-Pulsar 220-Launching-soon-in-INDIA

Until recently, Bajaj Pulsar 220 used to be the most appealing bike for those looking for the Indian performance bike with highest power/price ratio. The Pulsar 220 brought many firsts along with it. The Pulsar 220 became the first Bajaj bike to sport fuel injection. That the FI was later dumped for a carb. setup is a different story. The Pulsar also became the first bike from Bajaj to have more than 20PS of power. Other than this, the Pulsar 220 also became the first Bajaj bike to sport a quarter fairing, along with having bits like rear disc brake, projector headlamps and a clip-ons styled handlebar.
The modified Rouser 220 that you see here is built on an Aprilia Deltabox frame. The fairing, fuel tank and most of the body panels seem to have been taken from a 600 cc Gixxer. The fairing supports the same old headlamp and while the front-look might not be to everyone’s taste, the front end of the bike looks absolutely stunning when viewed in profile. Oh, and the Bugs Bunny ears continue to perform the duty of RVMs. The front section also gets upside-down forks from the R6 along with the R6 front disc brakes. The 17 inch rims and the swingarm seem to have been donated by a Honda RVF400. The rims come wearing Michelin rubber, with the front getting 120/70 and rear getting 180/55 spec footwear.

With a quarter fairing that sports projector lamps and RVMs that might remind you of Bugs Bunny, the 220 stands out from the usual crop of 150cc and 180cc Pulsars. However, the bike does share a plenty of bits with the lesser siblings and this is a put-off for some.

The bike hits a speed0 indicated top speed of 150kmph, has enough torque to make high speed overtaking maneuvers a breeze and has the best headlamp setup on any below-250cc bike in the country.
While the Yamah R15 might be much faster around corners, the 220 ruled the straights, until of course, the advent of Pulsar 200NS and KTM Duke 200.

Toyota To Make Safety Technology Affordable

We've seen companies like Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volvo, Ford come out with new and improved safety technology but now Toyota has introduced an assortment of safety systems in Japan.
Starting next year, the company will begin to offer active safety technologies that are dubbed as Toyota Safety Sense (TSS). They will be broken down into two packages that promise to be affordable and aim to prevent or mitigate collisions.

The technology has been tried and tested and follows the same routine. When a collision is imminent, the system will provide an audio and visual warning to alert the driver. If the driver fails to respond, the system will automatically apply the brakes and reduce the car's speed by approximately 30 km/h.
Then there is the Lane Departure Alert and Automatic High Beam system which is included in the TSS C package. We've seen these technologies on the new Mercedes-Benz cars and they too will be an added bonus.

The other - TSS P package - will be offered on mid-sized and high-end cars and include all the elements from the TSS C package as well as Radar Cruise Control and an upgraded Pre-collision System with pedestrian detection technology.
